Panel inspection
Physical check of every panel — cracks, soiling, micro-shading, delamination and hot spots.
All connections checked
Every MC4 connector and DC isolator inspected and torque-tested. We found 6 disconnected panels on our last visit — this matters.
Inverter diagnostics
Full error log review, firmware check and performance test. Silent faults are common and often ignored by the homeowner.
AC & DC wiring
Visual inspection of all cabling for damage, UV degradation, incorrect sizing and compliance with current regs.
Surge protection
Check for presence and condition of surge protection devices — now a requirement under BS 7671 Amendment 3.
Bird guard check
Nesting under panels causes significant damage and fire risk. We check mesh condition and flag any evidence of access.
Performance vs expected
We compare actual vs predicted output using irradiance data for your location. If you’re underperforming, we’ll find out why.
Mounting & roof condition
Van der Valk and generic mounting systems inspected for movement, corrosion and roof penetration integrity.

Surge Protection
Now required under BS 7671 Amendment 3. If your system is missing it, we can fit it while we’re on site — same visit, no extra call-out.
Battery Storage
